Master of Business Administration (MBA), Sport Business Specialization


The Sport Business specialization within the MBA program is focused on the development of skills and knowledge related to the sport business industry. This specialization is designed for those interested in working in the front office or management positions for a professional sport organization, as an athletic administrator and/or athletic director in intercollegiate athletics, or with a consulting firm or third-party organization related to sport. Those with this specialization will occupy positions in sport sponsorship, development/fundraising, sales, gameday promotions, digital marketing, sport media and communications, gameday operations and event management, and more.

Sport Business Specialization Outcomes

  • Formulate strategies to assume the responsibilities involved in various professional sport settings and work effectively with diverse groups and organizations. 
  • Analyze and evaluate moral and ethical issues related to sport business and/or athletic leadership
