Graduate Management Accounting Certificate

The graduate management accounting certificate provides CWU accounting students with the advanced training, skills, and knowledge necessary to achieve the CMA designation and enter a career in managerial accounting. As such the program is modeled after the CMA exam body of knowledge and covers the breadth and depth of the content of the CMA exams.
Admission Requirements
- Admission to the graduate school
- Completion of ACCT 305 and FIN 370, or equivalent courses
Graduation Requirements
Completion of the entire core curriculum with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- manage, allocate, and model cost objects.
- make data-driven recommendations on performance management decisions.
- create manufacturing budgets and forecasts.
- solve manufacturing bottlenecks.
- mitigate control risks and failures.
- evaluate and resolve common ethical dilemmas faced by corporate accountants.
