Special Education High Incidence Inclusion (K-12) Endorsable Minor


This minor has a high incidence focus (kindergarten through 12th grade) and is designed to provide the knowledge base needed to support an inclusive or cotaught classroom.

Teaching Endorsement
This minor partially satisfies the criteria for a teaching endorsement in Special Education, qualifying students to teach special education at the high school, middle/junior high, or elementary levels. Students who successfully complete the Special Education High Incidence Inclusion (K-12) Endorsable Minor, an endorsement major and Secondary Education Program (an alternative to the Professional Education Program) are eligible to apply for Washington State teacher certification. In addition to completing graduation requirements, teacher certification candidates must meet all Washington State teacher certification requirements. See an education advisor as soon as possible to develop a course of study.

Graduation Requirements
Students must maintain a plan GPA of 3.0. No grade lower than a C in any course applied to the minor.
