Teacher Endorsement
This major partially satisfies the criteria for a teaching endorsement in health and fitness, qualifying students to teach Physical Education and Health (PESH) at the high school, middle, or junior high levels. Students who successfully complete the PESH and Secondary Education Program (an alternative to the Professional Education Program) are eligible to apply for Washington State teacher certification. In addition to completing graduation requirements, teacher certification candidates must meet all Washington State teacher certification requirements. See an education advisor as soon as possible to develop a course of study.

Non-Certification Option
A student may complete the Physical Education School Health degree without completing either the Professional Education Program or Secondary Education major. Under such circumstances, teacher certification and endorsement will not be granted. This option exists for those individuals who wish to work in a private school, or recreational situation but does not require teacher certification.

Students must earn a minimum 2.85 in the major GPA, with a minimum grade of C- in each major course.
