Department Information
The Department of Aviation offers two bachelor of science degrees and two minors.

Aviation Professional Pilot BS
Aviation Management BS: Specializations in Aviation Management, Aviation Maintenance Management, Executive Pilot
Aviation Professional Pilot Minor
Aviation Management Minor

Accrediting Information
The aviation department holds an FAA Air Agency certificate. Ground schools and flight labs are conducted under 14CFR Part 141 of the federal aviation administration regulations. CWU aviation department is a member of the University Aviation Association.

Financial Obligations
Flight training and aircraft simulator fees are paid by the student and will be in addition to normal university tuition and fees and can be found at Tuition and Fees . Additional costs for students enrolled in flight labs include other supplies listed on the aviation department website.

Admission Requirements
Students are directly admitted to the aviation management degree.

Students must apply for acceptance into the professional pilot degree. Application will be reviewed upon acceptance to CWU. Admission decisions are based on a number of factors including grade point average, and a written statement of purpose, as outlined in the professional pilot application form. Transportation security administration (TSA) regulations require proof of citizenship for pilots.
