COTS 153 - Applied Problem Solving in STEM II Description: On-ramp to STEM majors. Applications of co-curricular MATH 153 concepts in STEM fields. Introduction to resources for STEM majors. By department permission.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: COTS 152; Co-requisite: MATH 153.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- translate problems and results of intermediate complexity between STEM contexts and mathematical and algebraic representations,
- identify and describe properties of the graphs of functions and the effects of transformations on algebraic and graphical forms of functions that apply to STEM contexts,
- use algebraic and function concepts in STEM contexts, and, specifically, select problem solving strategies, execute solutions, and draw conclusions, and
- engage with resources that build skills for academic success and careers in the STEM disciplines.
