WLC 484 - Second Language Learning and Teaching: Theory and Praxis Description: This course bridges language acquisition theories, research, and classroom practice. Students will plan lessons, develop language-learning material, and practice pedagogical approaches using the most recent instructional designs in the field.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Synthesize main works and theories in second language teaching and learning.
- Criticize and problematize teaching theories that do not reflect current student bodies in public education.
- Plan teaching approaches to selected topics on second language teaching and learning based on learner’s needs.
- Assess and appraise the impact of teaching materials and approaches on the student’s language learning.
- Create language activities for specific purposes and plan thematic language lessons
