Description:
Fundamentals of viticulture and enology, techniques and practices, wine styles, and grape varietals. Health issues associated with wine, basics of wine, and food pairing.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Interpret viticultural practices and techniques.
  • Apply winemaking processes for still, sparkling, and fortified wines.
  • Assess common pairings for food and wine.
