ATM 310 - Professional Development in Fashion Description: Preparation for required summer ATM practicum; identifying professional goals, skills, opportunities and strategies, complete resume, the application processes, preparing for interviews, analyzing the student practicum experience, and online portfolio preparation.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: must be admitted to the Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising Major, or instructor permission.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze career practicum opportunities within selected sectors of the fashion industry, such as design, product development, manufacturing, merchandising, retailing, promotions, or buying.
- Analyze and apply the requirements for practicum by identifying academic needs, interpreting employer expectations and evaluations, and implementing effective time management and organizational strategies to secure a summer practicum.
- Compose a professional résumé, cover letter, and online portfolio.
- Research and identify prospective internship employers practicum placements.
- Review required practicum forms and evaluate opportunities to identify and articulate appropriate placement learning objectives.
