This course surveys a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: ADMG 501 or admission to an IT Management Department Graduate Certificate Program.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

evaluate a variety of data mining techniques used in the information technology field,
evaluate models and algorithms in relation to data mining techniques,
determine the value of data mining in solving problems related to an organization’s strategy and/or operations,
apply algorithms to the process of data mining,
assess the role of machine learning in data mining, and
evaluate visualization techniques used in data mining in terms of their ability to support decision-making.
