IT 667 - Cybersecurity Risk Management Description: This course focuses on the management of cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets. Plans will be developed to preserve the business in the face of major security disruptions.
Credits: (4) Contact Hours: 4
Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- examine the roles and governance mechanisms used to ensure security of an organization’s information assets,
- identify and categorize cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets,
- develop countermeasures to cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets,
- conduct business impact analysis of the cybersecurity risks to an organization’s information assets, and
- in response to cybersecurity risks, students will be able to prepare a business continuity plan that includes a detailed disaster recovery plan.
