IT 647 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals Description: This course will provide students with a sound foundation in cybersecurity concepts. Students will examine scenarios that allow them to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and remediation actions as it relates to the management of cybersecurity.
Prerequisites: Co- or prerequisite: ADMG 501 or admission to an IT Management Department Graduate Certificate Program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- List the fundamental concepts of the cybersecurity discipline.
- Describe how the fundamental concepts of cyber defense can be used to provide system security.
- Examine and assess the architecture of a typical complex system and identify significant vulnerabilities and risks.
- Develop a risk management plan and recommend points at which specific security technologies/methods should be employed.
