Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: Examine the basic research methods and theories that sociologists use to study Physical activities, PE, and other aspects of social life Identify ideas and beliefs that constitute dominant ideologies related to Health, Physical Education sports, gender and sexuality, race/ethnicity/skin color, social class, and (dis)ability in American society. Explain how social factors related to gender, race and ethnicity, social class, and (dis)abilities influence physical education, physical activity, and youth sport experiences. Analyze the psycho-social dimensions of a relevant topic related to Health and Physical Education
