EDF 520 - Trauma-Informed Practices for Educators Description: Explores the implications of trauma on youth (e.g., adverse childhood experiences) and educators (e.g., secondary traumatic stress); and aims to develop a trauma-informed lens and practices for learners to better reach and support all students.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Describe the concept of trauma, common indicators of trauma, and its adverse impact on teaching and learning
Analyze inventions that can mitigate the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Develop a plan of action of how to implement trauma-informed practices that includes self-care.
