ART 481 - Art History Capstone

Description:
Students write and/or revise and present a final paper demonstrating their competency in art historical research and writing. By instructor permission.

Prerequisites: ART 414 and ART 479.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Analyze and draw reasoned conclusions from primary, secondary, and tertiary materials in the library, archives, and online.
Demonstrate a theoretical, historiographic, and professional understanding of the discipline of Art History.
Plan and write a substantial research paper, based on preparatory steps.
Present coherent, persuasive, and original analysis orally.
