BUS 320 - Business Project Management Description: Addresses skills and competencies that contribute to project success including roles, teamwork, methods, monitoring and measurement. Hours spent in-class or engaging in course activities may count toward a variety of project management institute certifications. Formerly SCM 320; students may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: junior standing or higher.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the steps and identify the action necessary for effective team building in a project environment.
- Demonstrate the appropriate and effective use of complex problem-solving skills using project management concepts.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative project management tools and techniques to define a business case, prepare a scope statement and outline a risk register.
- Distinguish between effective and ineffective application of critical path analysis, milestone planning, and lessons learned register with a focus on desired outcomes.
- Explain how to communicate objectives, risks and priorities as new information emerges from across an organization and with partners.
- Demonstrate how project plans may be adjusted based on proactive discovery of new information
