AVM 270 - Aviation Data Analysis Description: Managers of an airline, airport, or other aviation organizations must understand data-driven decision-making. In this course, students will be introduced to mathematical analytical techniques using aviation-specific data for managerial decision-making.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze passenger and cargo data pertinent to selected airports and airlines
- Calculate airline On-time performance and delay causes.
- Calculate airline load factors.
- Interpret Aviation System Performance Metrics (ASPM) including airport efficiency, city-pair en route, individual flights, and flight cancellations (FAA).
- Interpret airline service quality performance data (FAA).
- Calculate minimum connecting times at airports.
- Employ United States Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) statistics to analyze air travel consumer reports, air transportation economic trends, cost of air transportation, and air carrier traffic and capacity.
