Description:
Provides a multi-faceted view of topics concerning contemporary Korea. Weekly thematic topics will be introduced. Discussions are enhanced through the use of diverse materials: art, film, music, literature, manhwa, newspapers, official documents, and secondary analysis.

Examine and evaluate ideas and arguments concerning political, social, and cultural issues in the Korean Peninsula since the 20th century.
Analyze and synthesize various types of primary and secondary sources in order to put forward well-supported arguments concerning contemporary Korea
Write clear essays and present clear arguments concerning issues concerning contemporary Korea
Outline and summarize key events, places, persons, movements, and concepts in understanding Korean Society and Culture
