Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Formulate well-reasoned purpose-focused arguments with supporting evidence.
- Apply presentation techniques to everyday scenarios to increase communication competence across contexts, both personal and professional, using effective language and aesthetically appealing visual aids.
- Select discourse for public speaking in different social, generic, cultural, and historic contexts.
- Evaluate the impact of style and delivery of public speeches on the target audience.
- Identify and describe the art and science of effective public speaking-that is, its technical and aesthetic, linguistic as well as sensorial, elements.
