CDFS 285 - Introduction to Maternal and Child Health Issues Description: Introduction to perspectives underlying the maternal and child health field as well as key issues contributing to health outcomes of women, children, and families, including known disparities among rural, low-resource, and other underserved populations. CDFS 285 and PUBH 285 are cross-listed; students may not receive credit for both.

- Summarize key perspectives that inform maternal and child health practice and research.
- Synthesize scholarly research related to a specific topic in maternal and child health.
