BUS 411 - Emotional Intelligence for Professionals Description: Develop the emotional intelligence and soft skills necessary for professional success. This course focuses on interpersonal skills, communication styles, stress management, conflict resolution, effective teamwork, working in a diverse environment, and leadership skills.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: completion of (MGT 380 OR MGT 382) with a grade of C- or higher AND senior standing OR by department permission.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed for effective teamwork, conflict resolution, change management, motivation, leadership and communication.
- Analyze the components of emotional intelligence and how to apply them in a professional workplace setting
- Apply the interpersonal skills learned in the class to adjust from the school setting to the office.
- Diagnose your personality type, values and mental ability and examine how they differ from and interact with others.
- Compare and contrast the professional benefit of contemporary tools available to balance work and personal life, and reduce stress, including mindfulness and contemplation.
