AVM 422 - Ethics in Aviation Description: Ethical issues in the aviation industry as they relate to government and industry roles in employee responsibility, diversity, airport ground issues, air traffic control, security, health and the environment, and crew/passenger safety.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Compare and contrast the Consequentialist and Deontological theories of ethical reasoning
- Identify ethical issues arising from the regulation and operation of airlines, and discuss options for resolving any ethical conflicts discovered in the analysis
- Analyze ethical issues involving responsibility of individual action or inaction and corporation profit motivation
- Analyze ethical issues involving diversity and discrimination as it applies to aviation
- Analyze common ethical problems in airport operation, Air Traffic Control, and aviation security
- Analyze ethical issues associated with the health and environment as it pertains to the aviation industry
