ENG 488 - Teaching Portfolio Description: Students prepare an end-of-program E-Portfolio which illustrates their mastery of major program and professional sequence competencies. Course Requires liability insurance and current WSP/FBI fingerprints that do not expire before end of quarter. Grade will either be S or U.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: full admission to the Teacher Certification Program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- apply the gradual release of responsibility framework to design ELA instructional units,
- utilize research-based best practices in teaching ELA concepts, content, and methods of inquiry to diverse learners,
- design instruction that meets state and national ELA standards, and
- create learning experiences that engage diverse learners in applying ELA concepts, content, and methods of inquiry.
