EDEC 306 - Professional Growth and Expectations


Description:
This initial course in the Early Childhood Education sequence is a survey of the profession. Students begin a professional growth and development plan, develop philosophical underpinnings, and systematically organizing resources that will be used throughout the program.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Create an individual growth plan that includes professional goals as a teacher-candidate as well as future goals as an educator.
  • Reflect and report through narrative what professional practice includes and how that professionalism is transferred from the classroom to the community.
