Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply the guidelines and rules of broadcast news copy writing.
- Identify news values used in reporting events.
- Identify the beats of a typical community.
- Construct broadcast interviews following the profession’s norms and best practices.
- Plan and conduct on-the-scene news stories following the profession’s norms and best practices.
- Report on speeches and meetings by applying broadcast journalism professional guidelines and best practices.
