AVP 222 - Aircraft Systems - Complex Description: This course is a continuation of AVP 221 and introduces students to the systems of complex aircraft. Formerly AVP 322; students may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: AVP 221.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Compare and contrast various aircraft powerplants, including theory, components and operation
- Describe the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex propeller systems
- Describe the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fuel and fuel injection systems
- Compare and Contrast differences between normally aspirated, supercharging, and turbo charging
- Describe pressurization and high altitude operations
- Describe hydraulic and pneumatic systems for deicing/anti-icing aircraft
- Compare and contrast various types of complex aircraft structures and flight controls
- Describe turbine engine design and operation
