Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Describe the significance of air transportation to US and world economies.
Define General Aviation and explain its role in the aviation industry.
Explain the structure, characteristics, and the economic impact of U.S. Airline Industry.
Explain the role of Government Aviation in the aviation industry.
List major legislation that regulates the air transportation industry, and the explain the role regulatory agencies created by the legislation function to enhance safety and commerce.
Detail the effects (pros and cons) of the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 on the industry, its employees, and its customers.
Identify and explain the regional and global trends impacting the future of air transportation.
