ART 430 - Components of Art Education Description: Content and strategies for teaching aesthetics, art criticism, art history, and art production in art education; writing, implementing, and assessing quality art lessons.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Research and discuss the history of art education including discipline-based art education
- Recognize state and national art education standards
- Propose and justify methodologies for teaching art criticism
- Evaluate art production objectives and teaching strategies
- Organize and plan instruction using a materials and supplies budget
