ART 332 - Art Curriculum and Field Experience

Description:
Developing discipline-based art education curriculum for the elementary and middle school, as well as preparing curriculum to teach Friday children’s art classes. Course Requires liability insurance and current WSP/FBI fingerprints that do not expire before end of quarter.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Identify and apply concepts and methods of teaching a discipline-based art education unit for elementary school
Propose concepts and methods of teaching a discipline-based art education unit for middle school
Compare and contrast elementary and middle school art instruction, curriculum, and development
Categorize methods of teaching and learning styles
