ART 236 - History of World Art II Description: A historical survey of the development of world art and architecture from 1400 to 1850.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: ART 235.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Recognize major works of art by identifying cultures, periods, national origins, titles and/or subject matter, and their significance to the history of art.
- Describe the formal and symbolic elements of various works of art.
- Discuss how works of art express the ideals and values of their respective civilizations and historical periods.
- Describe basic developments in the history of art from 1400 to 1850.
- Use the terminology of art history.
