ANTH 315 - Human Skeletal Analysis


Description:
A survey of the human skeleton and techniques of human skeletal analysis. Identification of age, sex, and other traits in modern and extinct populations. Meets anthropology subfield Biological Anthropology (B).

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify all of the bones in the human body as well as relevant features on the bones.
  • Illustrate how forensic anthropologists are beneficial in working with police in reconstructing crimes.
  • Compare and critique various methods for completing a biological profile.
