ADMG 302 - Financial Analysis for IT Managers

Addresses the financial analysis processes and functions specific to IT management. Students will gain an understanding of how to use financial analysis to support decisions related to IT assets.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

explain the role and importance of financial management and reporting for the IT manager,
assess technologies to enhance financial analysis and decision making for IT management,
analyze budgets and financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis, for the organization and IT departments and functions,
calculate and interpret various financial ratios, such as profitability, leverage, liquidity, efficiency, total cost of ownership, and return on investment, for the IT department and its projects, and
evaluate leading and lagging indicators of financial performance for the IT organization.
