ACCT 463 - Accounting Analytics Description: Explores how financial statement data and non-financial metrics can be linked to financial performance and business decisions, develop analytical and technical skills to understand and manipulate big data and discover data trends in accounting.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: ACCT 350 with a grade of C or higher, and admission to accounting major and completion of the College of Business Foundation courses (ACCT 251 and ACCT 252 and BUS 102 and BUS 221 and BUS 241 and (ECON 130 or MATH 130) and ECON 201 and (MATH 153 or MATH 154 or MATH 170 or MATH 172 or MATH 173)) with a minimum C- grade in each course and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25.

- Examine analytical, statistical, and visualization tools to enhance accounting/business decision-making
- Evaluate trends in financial data
- Interpret and synthesize data to make recommendations for accounting/business decision-making
