“Team and Leadership Fundamentals,” provides a fundamental understanding of both leadership and team building. The lessons and course flow are designed to prepare cadets for field training and leadership positions in the detachment.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Describe sources of conflict.
Distinguish the five conflict management styles.
Match the appropriate conflict management style to a given situation.
Recognize stress and how it impacts the work environment.
Describe various coping strategies.
Define the concept of resiliency.
Recognize the Air Force’s core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all we do and the importance of maintaining these values.
Recognize personal and professional standards of loyalty, character and accountability and their impact on being a leader of character.
Recognize professional and unprofessional relationships and their impact on the mission.
