EFC 340 - Methods of Instruction


Description:
Introduction to basic methods of classroom instruction. Development of a comprehensive curriculum unit plan. Methods appropriate for subject and grade level in lab and field experience.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisites: grade of C or higher in EFC 310 and full admission to the Teacher Certification Program or the Instructional Foundations program. Co-requisite: EFC 315, EFC 320, and EFC 330.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student/teacher candidates will be able to:

  • Plan and implement instruction based on learner characteristics and context of the school and community.
  • Make appropriate instructional choices from a broad spectrum of techniques in order to maximize the learning of all students.
