Prerequisites: This course is not open to accounting or business administration majors. Recommended for individuals not majoring in accounting or business.

- Describe the concept of internal controls.
- Explain the primary purposes of and differences among the basic financial statements.
- Calculate and interpret key financial ratios using the data in the balance sheet and income statement.
- Explain the importance of having ethical directors, managers, accountants, and auditors.
