The business analytics specialization prepares graduates to apply statistical, computing, and economics methods to help corporate managers make better business decisions. Students work with real-world business data from marketing, economics, finance, human resource management, supply chain management, etc., and analyze it using descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive business analytics methods. The program utilizes the latest business analytics software to manage data, develop visualization, and perform statistical and machine learning analysis.
The business administration major requires a single specialization of at least 24 credits. Occasionally a student requests a second specialization. To be eligible for a second specialization, a minimum of 20 unique credits must be completed. Unique in this sense means the credits have not been used as part of any other business administration specialization. Students cannot double specialize in general business and another business administration specialization.
Admission Requirements
Students can apply to the major as part of their application to CWU, via their MyCWU account, or by emailing CBAdvising@cwu.edu and will be approved for entry to the major once they have completed the College of Business Agreement to Policies.
