Sustainability Minor or Certificate


The sustainability minor/certificate offers an opportunity for students from any academic path to develop experiential, service-learning projects that focus on improving sustainability needs of the university or a community partner. While earning this minor/certificate, students will learn fundamental concepts related to sustainability in environmental, economic, and social issues while earning practical technical skills about developing and managing a project to improve organizational effectiveness. The sustainability minor/certificate will prepare students for entry into public or private sector jobs related to organizational or environmental sustainability.

Admission Requirements
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Graduation Requirements
Minimum grade of C- in all courses.

Department-Approved Electives Credits: 12-15


Select one course from each of three sustainability categories: environment, economy, and society.

Total Credits: 20-29
