Library and Information Science Certificate

The certificate in library and information science is designed to provide students academic courses that explore the library science profession at an undergraduate level while developing strong information literacy and research skills. The certificate is appropriate for any students who wish to gain a greater understanding of the field of library and information science at an undergraduate level and non-matriculated students already employed as a library paraprofessional.
Graduation Requirements
All students in the certificate program will be required to complete 8 credit hours in the core curriculum. Students may choose two courses within the electives category depending on their specific interests.
