Admission to the Major and to the Minor
- To be admitted to the major, students must complete the Law and Justice application form and the department must approve.
Exit Requirements
A minimum grade of C- must be earned in all courses used to fulfill the requirements of the major and of the minor.
Program Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability to assess and apply concepts related to legal and social science research;
- articulate an understanding of the historical development and current operations of the principal components of the criminal justice system;
- identify theoretical and philosophical aspects of social justice within criminal justice and the impacts of intersectionality related to those disciplines; and
- distinguish between evidence-based policies and practices while maximizing the use of best practices in the pursuit of conflict management and resolution.
