Mathematics: Elementary Math Minor

This minor offers additional preparation for the teaching of elementary mathematics. This minor does not lead to certification and is not open to students majoring in Mathematics: Middle-Level Teaching.

Program Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Explain the developmental progression of mathematical learning in elementary and middle grades. 
• Apply mathematical knowledge, concepts, theories, models, and skills to solve problems.
