The Industrial Engineering Technology (IET) major prepares students to be interdisciplinary problem solvers by equipping them to interface with multiple areas of an organization including engineering, production, sales, and management. The curriculum is characterized by an emphasis on practical, application-based topics rather than theory.  Students are well suited to careers in such fields as technical sales, industrial distribution, project management, field service, and production supervision.

Students pursuing this degree should work closely with their department advisor to assure that they have met the prerequisites for the upper-division electives.
