Douglas Basic and Breadth Requirements

Requied Courses


Foreign Language


NOTE: DHC applicants are normally expected to have met the competence requirements for Foreign Language prior to acceptance. Students who have not done so will be required to take classes through Foreign Language 152.

Mathematics


NOTE: DHC applicants are normally expected to have met the competence requirements for Mathematics prior to acceptance. Students who have not done so will be required to take classes through MATH 154.

Douglas Senior Seminar (Thesis)


Major Requirements


The university requirement for concentrate study may be met by completion of the major requirements stipulated by the faculty of the student’s chosen field of specialization. The student should read the university catalog and meet with a major advisor assigned by the student’s major department.

General Requirements


The student should read the university’s graduation requirements for the bachelor’s degree. All of these apply to DHC students, except that the program requirements will substitute for the general education (Basic and Breadth) requirements. This means that students will need to complete 180 total credits, include 60 upper division credits, satisfy the residency requirements, etc.
