CMGT 395A - Construction Management Competition Preparation - Fall (Junior) Description: Students work in teams to prepare for construction competitions while in their Junior year. Teams develop cost, schedule, site layout, and safety plans for a major construction project. Two hours lab per week. Students should be aware that individual sections of CMGT 395A and CMGT 495A may be combined into a single section. Permission of instructor.
Prerequisites: Co-requisite: CMGT 346 or CMGT 347.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the process to plan, schedule and estimate a project given a set of construction drawings and contract documents.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of a group presentation to a panel of industry experts. The presentation shall summarize the construction estimate, schedule, construction sequence and costs of the project.
- Understand construction management skills as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understand how to summarize, record, and evaluate information pertaining to a competition and present it in a format that will be useful for teams in the upcoming years
