ASP 410 - Current Issues of Accessibility and Disability Description: Seminar on current issues of accessibility and disability. May be repeated for credit. ASP 410 and ASP 510 are layered courses.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: successful completion of General Education’s Academic Writing I and II.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- identify issues of accessibility in current news, cultural events, and personal experience;
- analyze real world events as the context affecting individuals with activity-limiting conditions using the World Health Organization Classifications of Factors of Disability;
- compare multiple sources of information on a current event or cultural trend regarding disability-related beliefs and behavior in content and reporting;
- demonstrate skills of leading and engaging in thoughtful discussion;
- synthesize divergent views in a succinct summary; and
- reflect on changes in perspective and knowledge.
