ACCT 462 - Computer Auditing

Description:
Introduces students to the latest technologies used in auditing. Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic process Automation, and Machine Learning tools will provide students with a current perspective on automation trends toward continuous audit.

Prerequisite: ACCT 455 with a grade of C or higher.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Examine the current nature and scope of the auditing profession including Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
Evaluate the purpose of use of audit data standards
Evaluate the use of machine learning, and data analytics tools in auditing
Apply computer assisted audit techniques using generalized audit software
Analyze the principles of continuous monitoring and auditing
