ENG 488 - Teaching Portfolio

Description:
Students prepare an end-of-program E-Portfolio which illustrates their mastery of major program and professional sequence competencies. Course Requires liability insurance and current WSP/FBI fingerprints that do not expire before end of quarter. Grade will either be S or U.

Prerequisites:
Prerequisite: conditional or full admission to the Teacher Certification Program.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Apply the gradual release of responsibility framework to design ELA instructional units
Use research-based best practices in teaching ELA content
Design instruction that meets State and National ELA Standards
Create learning experiences that engage learners in applying ELA concepts, content, and methods of inquiry.
