  • Develop skills in evaluating published research.
  • Explore ethical, legal, and political issues involved in conducting and reporting research and utilizing research findings.
  • Formulate the steps in the research process.
  • Analyze the components of a well-organized research plan/proposal
  • Compare various procedures for selecting a research sample.
  • Judge and evaluate criteria for developing/selecting data collection instruments.
  • Differentiate among the types of research, based on purpose and method.
  • Select appropriate statistical procedures for specific research problems.
