GPD 558 - Family and Consumer Sciences Methods I Description: Curriculum and methods of teaching FCS in context of the National Standards. Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate the roles of an FCS professional educator
- Assess the learning audience and learning environment and their impact on curriculum
- Interpret the conceptual frameworks that guide FCS curriculum
- Recommend appropriate curriculum for diverse populations in the context of national and state standards
- Create assessments and rubrics for evaluating student learning
