MUS 622 - Research II: Theory and Literature: American Band College Description: Development and application of analytical techniques and musicological research related to the study, preparation and performance of band literature.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: graduate standing and admission to American Band College program.

Learner Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify key features of selected literature as related to historical context and musical style.
- Evaluate strengths and challenges related to preparation of specific ensemble literature in the rehearsal process.
- Critique, revise, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies, using research and analysis skills, in preparation of specific ensemble literature.
