Prerequisite: graduate standing and admission to American Band College program.

Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Identify key features of selected literature as related to historical context and musical style.
  • Evaluate strengths and challenges related to preparation of specific ensemble literature in the rehearsal process.
  • Critique, revise, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies, using research and analysis skills, in preparation of specific ensemble literature.
